Dear Collingswood and Oaklyn Families,
Delaying or closing schools is something we take seriously. Ultimately, the safety of students and staff is our priority. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from today, February 11, 4:00 pm until Wednesday, February 12, 7:00 am.
The Winter Weather Advisory currently calls for potential snow accumulations between 2-4 inches, with higher amounts possible for the region. Based on the anticipated slippery road conditions, travel could be very difficult impacting the early morning commute. The weather is expected to taper off later Wednesday morning.
Out of an abundance of caution, all Collingswood and Oaklyn schools and offices will operate on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, February 12. For additional information, please refer to the Inclement Weather Page on our websites.(Colls) (Oaklyn).
We are continuing to monitor weather conditions across our region. We will keep you informed should there be any changes to the schedule.
Thank you for your attention and please be safe while traveling.
Fred McDowell, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
