Full Day Kindergarten Program for 5-year olds

The Collingswood Public School District offers full day Kindergarten for students who are five years of age by October 1 of the year they wish to enroll. For registration questions, please contact Ms. Lisa Pendarvis at lpendarvis@collsk12.org or 856-788-0335 ext. 7188.
Who is Eligible?
Students who turn five (5) years old by October 1 of the year they wish to enroll are eligible to enroll in the program.
What are the hours?
The full day program runs from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm, 5 days per week when school is in session. The school doors open at 8:15 am and we ask that students be unpacked and ready to begin the day's activities by the start of the school day at 8:30 am. School Lunch will be served and recess time provided. The Kindergarten program follows the Collingswood Public Schools district calendar, except on the first day of school which is an abbreviated schedule and orientation for the newest members of our school community. Note: When school has a single session day the program will run from 8:30am - 12:30pm. School doors open at 8:15 am.
Where will the program be held?
The program is held in each of our elementary schools.
What Curriculum is followed?
The Collingswood Public Schools Kindergarten program includes literacy (reading, writing, word study), mathematics, science, and social studies. Students will also participate in music, art, technology, American Sign Language (ASL), and health and physical education subjects.
Is before or after-school (wrap-around) care available?
Before and after-school programs are offered by the "Healthy Kids" Programs. There is an additional fee for the Healthy Kids Programs.For additional information click here: https://www.healthykidsprograms.com/

Please note the Board-approved practice for assigning kindergarten students outlined here. While the administration makes every effort to assign students to the school closest to their homes, this is not always possible. If the number of students living in a particular school zone exceed the number of available seats, the administrators will use the process below to determine final assignments.
